Spring cleaning has come late to the Vindicated site. Or just under a year early... half empty, half full, your pick. Some points:1) The application form has been updated. Some new questions were added to let us get to know our applicants a little betterThe Raids section was updated... it was just a couple of tiers behind...2) Navigation CleanupAll the old and out-dated information one the navigation bar to the left has been removed or temporarily hiddenThings like Gem cuts and patterns WILL make a comeback, but most likely not until Cataclysm hits, there's just too much to cover right now.You know who our crafters are, almost everyone knows everything.3) Forum CleanupOld applications are now being moved to an Old Applications forum. The cut-off is 2 weeks of inactivity, or them being accepted or denied. There is now a Members only forum to discuss applicants before their acceptance or denial. ALL MEMBERS will use this to make comments on applicants. From now on only officers, and people we assign to it will make the final comments to applicants in the application forumWe will take all your comments in the member discussion forum under consideration.Going forward in to cataclysm, we're going to start subdividing our categories to hopefully create topics of discussion...You will see things like:Class specific forumsRole Specific forumsStrategy discussionReal Life ChatterThe idea here is to hopefully give people inspiration for using the forums, without over fragmenting the forums so we see only a few topic in eachIn game and on Vent we have a lot of wonderful thought provoking conversations about the game, its future, other games, and real life things... we want more people involved in that. The ideal place is a slower medium, a forum, where we can share our thoughts and get ideas and opinions from everyone.TL;DR We want you to be using the site more and be more active with it.

It has been a long time since people have heard anything from us, and for that IĀ apologize. Here is where we stand in a couple of categories:Progression:The last news you heard from us... was about Yogg... yes,. it HAS been a while! Well we've killed a couple more things since then in this new place we're testing out called Icecrown Citadel. We had all but Saurfang down in the first couple of days from release of 3.3. He met his fate the following tuesday when we were able to take in a more desirable comp. Since that day... we have seen a total of 6 (5? A lot either way!) Deathbringer's will's drop... Eat your heart out other guilds! With the release of the plagueworks... our progress on Festergut was... staggered to say the least. 40 or so attempts and lots of caffeine later... we finally killed that slow bastard. Rotface... was not nearly as much of a challenge. After just a handful of attempts, he shot hot juicy loot all over us.Putricide.... is being a bother. With only one solid night of attempts, we have only begun to put a dent in to him.10 man... we have killed everything but blood-queen, if only for lack of time.Recruitment:This is where we stand.... Right now, we generally have a pretty balanced crew of raiders. which is wonderful, but when that balance is disrupted by the call of IRL, we have a problem. And are therefore open to all exceptional candidates for ranged DPS, with *very limited* openings for melee. Preference being given to warlocks, and hunters. Again, I stress exceptional candidates. Do not hesitate to apply, but at our current level of progression, and there only being so many raid nights in a week, we can't be in a position to gear and teach. If you consider yourself an exceptional player, and want to be in a progression environment, Uncle Sam Needs you! Even if you don't necessarily fit the limited classes listed above, if you are as good as you say, we might be able to come up with something. In other news, Byrntroll eats your soul harder than shadow's edge.

Just sayin...On a side note please make sure to let officers know if you will not be in attendance for raid or need to leave early so avoid situations like tuesday nights

So here's where we stand on 10 man progression:Ulduar:Flame Leviathan: 2/4 (Only for lack of trying, wanted to get down things that matter)XT-002 Deconstructor, Hard mode RAPED, multiple timesIron Council: Medium and Hard done, several timesHodir: Downed several timesThorim: Cool runestone, broFreya: 3 shot it the first night. Having never done elders up beforeMimiron: ...We'll get back to you on thatVezax: no attempts made yet, should be fineYogg: I don't want to talk about itThat puts us at 5/9 for Hard mode completion.NOW, for the actual news!Friday night we went in to Trial of the Grand Crusader, and kill Jaraxxus with about 45 attempts remaining. Keep in mind we had never even properly set foot in to ToGC before this point. the beasts, surprisingly were three shot, and Jaraxxus was 2 or 3.Much loot was had, and the people were jolly and merry.

Forgot to mention this previously... But Knock, Knock, Knock on Wood (10 player), baby!
We did this in three attempts, previously never having downed her with any keepers alive. It was a big jump, but surprisingly easy for us.
All we have left now is firefighter for 3 or so people to get Algalons key...
